The Swamp is Threatened
The Great Swamp is many things. It is home to many species of animal and plant life, many endangered. It is a filter for
our drinking water. It is a collection area for stormwater runoff and melting snow. It is a beautiful, scenic, and tranquil
place. But as much as nature tries to maintain the delicate ecosystems that comprise The Swamp, The Swamp is facing many
dangers from man and from the changing environment.
